A countdown to the cover reveal of THE GEOGRAPHY OF FIRST KISSES

December 2, 2022 Karin Cecile Davidson

Day One: In a few days the cover of my forthcoming story collection, The Geography of First Kisses, will be revealed! In the meantime, think indigo seas, compass points, sails and southerly winds, direction, true and otherwise.

Day Two: Countdown to The Geography of First Kisses cover reveal continues! Think skylights, stars, Harleys, Nora & Nick, lost horses, hurricanes, and aqua-colored crabs.

Day Three: The stories of The Geography of First Kisses are literally all over the map. Mostly New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, but also as far away as Canada, France, and Germany. Think Leica cameras, the Berlin Zoo, fancy prams, memorials to Evangeline, porticos crowded with books, first communions, bowling, white roses, saints. Cover reveal to come!

Day Four: Still leading up to The Geography of First Kisses cover reveal! Think Iowa, Allis Chalmers tractors, Indian motorcycles, & Tamworth pigs. The tiniest minnows & the largest pecan trees. Cassiopeia, silver lighters, & Karmann Ghias.

Day Five: Final photo montage for the final story in The Geography of First Kisses. Think live oaks, scrub palmettos, bobwhite quail, nests, measuring sticks, shotguns, batik-covered bureaus, a single spotted egg. Cover reveal in next post!
